4. Walmart

Walmart has what is called Walmart Marketplace. It is an online shop where you can post your items. However, you must first apply for membership. If you do not get approved, you cannot sell here. 

If you apply, you have to wait up to three weeks to hear from them. You also need to prepare your documents and make sure that you are a registered business. Walmart will be asking you for your legal business name and other things. 

Walmart is the best place to sell online if you want to move out of Amazon or eBay. The only thing you have to pay here is the referral fee, which is the commission of Walmart from you if you make a sale. The referral fee ranges between 6% and 20%, depending on your product category and selling price.  

5. Rakuten

Rakuten is Japan’s Amazon. It used to be Buy.Com, and it has been in business since 1997. It was later purchased by a Japanese company, and it is now known by its Japanese name.

Although it is owned by a Japanese group, the company is based in California.

Rakuten is a great place for sellers because people who buy here have a cashback incentive. It makes people come back to make more purchases, which is good for you.

Once the customers have met the cashback conditions, they will receive their cashback in PayPal or by check.

Etsy offers several membership types. The first one is the Standard. This is free, but there is a listing fee of $0.20 for every listing. The Plus package costs $10, but this will give you more powerful tools where you can customize your Etsy shop and receive advertising credits.

To sell here, you first have to create a subscriber account. After you register, you can create your shop and then list your hand-made items.

Apart from your subscription, the site will no longer charge any listing fees or commission fees.
